SPECIALISTA IN NEUROPSICHIATRIA INFANTILE Campania Puglia Basilicata

welcome,

to my personal website.

My name is Marco Urago and I am proudly Italian, Christian, strongly layman, progressive, Western values believer, doctor and Child and Adolescent Neuropsychiatric  Specialist.

I was born in Stigliano, on the Lucanian Dolomites (South Italy);

I was raised in its traditions, but later, after my studies at the University and my Civil Service specialization, I have been warmly welcomed by  Tuscany,  where I have lived for many years.

I grew up in my teens with my generation’s idols : Che Guevara, Kennedy and above all, Blessed Teresa of Calcutta.

I was married for 20 years and I have two wonderful children: Matthew and Anita.

I am a crazy volleyball supporter and my DNA is red and black, like the colours of my favourite football team: AC Milan.

I love to travel because I am curious by nature and so I have spent the rest of my life on a plane knowing countries and people. From South America to the United States and Mexico, from the Middle East to Africa and the farthest Asia.

So many times up and down the old Europe: from England to France, from Spain to the Czech Republic,  from Germany to Portugal.

I graduated in Medicine at the University of Florence in '82s and then I have obtained a specialization in Child Neuropsychiatry at the same University in '86s.

For years, I worked in the rehabilitatation sector in Apulia before moving to the management domain, but after my studies in the Lombardy region and finally as  ASL General Manager  for two years in Taranto.

In 2008  I went to Afghanistan to work for the Italian Cooperation Service (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) for three years, until 2010.

They were hard times, really hard, but I have discovered a new world and so many friends who help me to survive to so many enemies.

Today I live in Taranto and I work as a freelance and consultant for private medical centres,  where I work both as a consultant and rehabilitative therapy planner, as well as R&D Manager specialized in new rehabilitation techniques with the use of  Health IT technologies .

By this website I start a new chapter in my professional and personal life.

Happy to begin a new life at 59 years old.

Finally, I would give you a poem that reflects my philosophy of life.

“The most beautiful sea hasn't been crossed yet.

The most beautiful child hasn't grown up yet.

The most beautiful days we haven't seen yet.

And the most beautiful words I wanted to tell you I haven't said yet”
